WrestleMania VI was the sixth pay-per-view event, and the first WrestleMania to be held outside of the U.S. It took place on April 1, 1990 from the SkyDome in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with an announced attendance of 67,678. Hulk Hogan, without a doubt the main reason for the boom, "passed the torch" to The Ultimate Warrior in the main event. Afterwards,
the WWF started to have a decline in popularity that wouldn't stop until Steve Austin ushered in the Attitude Era in 1997.

WrestleMania VI was the last WrestleMania that Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventura hosted together, as Ventura left the WWF after the event. Monsoon and Ventura had commentated every WrestleMania up until
that point (excluding WrestleMania 2, where Monsoon commentated from Chicago and Ventura from Los Angeles).
A young Shane McMahon refereed a match in this event, going under the name of Shane Ste
